Portugal - Fatima to Lisbon

This is the tomb of King Pedro who died in 1367 and was placed here in the Alcobaça Monastery. The carved figures on and around the tomb depict the life of St Bartholomew, the King's patron saint. Look closely at the intricate detail and lace-work carved into the marble.
